About Wingman4Seniors
Our Mission
To provide a lifeline to help seniors living alone in the areas that matter –
Health (navigation & plan selection), Wealth Preservation (medical billing/subscription management) & Connection to Family (Technology Refresh).
Scott Boyden
President & Founder
After a long career as an executive in the medical software industry, I decided to step away to pursue a passion to help seniors living alone. I have always had a sweet spot for seniors. As my own parents aged, it was a family endeavor mostly to make sure they were properly cared for. Our society often fails to protect and take care of our seniors. Too often, age is looked at as a vulnerability and sadly an opportunity to exploit them.
Where can I make a difference for seniors?

As a senior myself, the three most important areas to me that align with my experience and expertise are health, wealth, and connection.
Experience & Credentials
Background

My father's parents lived in San Francisco and as a young boy, I remember my parents taking our family to visit them. My Dad made sure our family visited our Nana at least every couple weeks for dinner after my paternal grandfather passed.

On my Mom’s side of the family, my maternal grandfather (Walter Cusack) lived in Greenwich, Connecticut. Although I was unable to visit him as often in my youth, as a young man I actually lived with him for a short time before accepting my first job. From that point forward, I always referred to him as Sweet Walt, a man with a tough veneer with a heart of gold.
Health Navigation Experience

-
I was the medical advocate for my wife, Pam, who passed after a courageous 10-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. In short, I know the health system well and more importantly how to navigate it.
-
My father was a surgeon.
Wealth Protection Experience

-
I am an MBA trained health information technology executive with over two decades experience working in large public companies as well as small start-ups.
-
As a senior myself with no W-2 income, I have lived wealth preservation. I’ve seen how errors and unscrupulous billing practices w/ the big 6 (Hospital bills, utilities, internet, mobile, alarm, & TV) can add up quickly. I know what to look for and how to protect your assets.

Family Connection Experience

-
I get it. I’m an empty nester who has also lost both parents, my beloved wife of 28 years and even our dog, Mollie. I know what it is like to feel isolated. While the phone is a great tool it is not enough to stay connected to family, your children, and their children. The key is meeting them where they are – on their smart phone apps – and there are simply ways to do that without being invasive.
